Road to Watson Lake

Trying to remember where we are and what day it is.  It hasn't been that long, but trying to fly between the large Caravans of motorhomes and campers has become a bit of a challenge - especially the closer to Alaska we get.  Happy Hours are left to figuring out what is on the agenda for the next day or two.

We Left Toad River for a long 71 miles to Liard Hot Springs.  Lots more wildlife.  Losing count of bear and had to stop on the Highway to let a bunch of Stone Sheep nibble on something on the road.

Onto Liard Hot Springs.  Temps in the springs are about 100 degrees.  Stepped into the water and it felt hot - people don't stay in the water long.  Really pretty.

They grow a lot of BIG mosquitos.  A sign inside the office states:  "there is not a single mosquito living in British Columbia - they are all married and have many children."  I think they like the fresh blood of the people from the States...

On the road to Watson Lake we still had to watch the highways for many things.   Much road construction on the  way to Watson Lake as well as some buffalo.

This is only part of the buffalo herd that was along side the highway.  What was amazing, was the road crew was nearby - I had to shoot around the equipment to get the picture.   But these people were all outside walking up and down the road only feet from the Buffalo.

I had always wondered how much they pay these animals to stay near the highway so the tourists can get great photos....
