Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada

Here we are in Dawson Creek, the beginning of the Alaskan Highway.  It was built by American Soldiers and Canadian and American Civilians as a supply road to defend the North American Continent from a Japanese invasion following their attack on Pearl Harbor.  1500 miles were built from March to September 1942.
