Thought we would stop and visit where Cheryl's 5th Great Uncle, Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer met his fate with Sitting Bull. They were celebrating the 137th Anniversary of the Battle of Little Bighorn and there was no place to park. We were able to drive through the park and have an idea of how large the battle field was. We did see people dressed in period attire and had a slight delay with some wild horses on the road.
Before old-age gets the better of us, traveling the country side has moved to the top of the bucket list. Through this blog, we hope to share our travels throughout the U.S. and Canada with family and friends. With a much more comfortable Jeep (heated seats for the old buns) and still very capable, one of a kind pictures from the mountain tops and back trails are a sure thing . Hope you have fun with us.

Buena Vista Colorado
We made a stop in Buena Vista, Colorado. Fires in the northern part of New Mexico forced us to change our travel plans. BV is one of the most beautiful places in the US. 14,000 foot peaks almost surround the small town with the Arkansas River flowing through it. The pictures below are from a drive over Cottonwood pass.
